TOY SOLDIER ART
GERMAN TIN FLATS
This is what is left of an extensive collection that comprised
thousands of figures covering the ancient Egyptians to the Crimean War. All of these
figures were painted at least 50 years ago, and the usual paint rubs/chips and slight damage,
such as missing spear tips, etc. is evident. There are photos, in many cases several, of
each offered set --- please look and you will be able to see the damage is very minor. If there
is other than the minor damage stated above, I will note the negative condition.
My main goal here is to be fair and honest. These sets are not new, but have been packed
away for 20+ years. There may be some remnants of masking tape on the underside of the bases
where they were taped for shipping many years ago. There are no original boxes.
NOTE: I do have some mismatched single pieces and a few more groups to post -- I believe some
Napoleonic and Seven Years War. Check back or contact me by email if you are interested.
A large number of these sets were painted in the 1940s-1950s by a German collector
by the name of Wulfbahr (Wolfbar) -- I am not sure of the correct spelling. They were
sold to an American collector, then again on the American market and are now offered here
by GARY P. PHILLIPS TOY SOLDIER ART.
All items will be very carefully packed.
NOTE: Please contact me prior to sending payment, to ensure that your desired
set is available --these are limited to stock on hand! Thanks.
